Jiggered Ceilidh Band were delighted to be playing at Destiny Church, Glasgow for their Burns' Ceilidh. We were given a wee room to chill out in and enjoyed some haggis, neeps, tatties at the break (during which time Ewan compared Jenny to Dumbo, which understandably didn't go down too well!).
Our sets went down really well and hopefully we'll be able to ceilidh for the Destiny crowd again in the future. Thanks to Louise who booked us and the sound guys too who helped us all night too.

Jiggered Ceilidh Band were playing at a 40th birthday party in Carmichael Halls, Giffnock. It was a brilliant night for a number of reasons:
1. The crowd were ultra-enthusiastic, filling the floor again and again.
2. The support act during our break were QP's U2 tribute act- "One Love" was class.
3. The buffet was straight from Domino's Pizza- yum!
Up and running for 2011- it's going to be a really busy year!

Jiggered Ceilidh Band have had their most successful year ever. In fact, resident Maths geek Chris has been looking at how things have been shaping up for Jiggered over recent years and the trend is very satisfying! We'll maybe beat the 50-gig barrier (52 would average 1 a week so let's make that the target!). With lots of events confirmed already, 2011 looks like being a fantastic one for Scotland's top ceilidh band!

Jiggered Ceilidh Band finished at 10pm at their first Hogmanay gig and raced across to Langbank to play 10:30pm-1:30am at Gleddoch House Hotel. We arrived slightly early and as soon as we started we knew it would be a great gig- the crowd were loving the Jiggered experience!
We played right through with the crowd joining in some Scottish favourites (everyone was singing Caledonia and Wild Mountain Thyme along with Jenny!!). After the countdown for the Bells, a piper joined us for Auld Lang Syne. We then had a 10 minute break, enjoying some stovies before finishing off an excellent but exhausting evening!

To allow us to make it to our second Hogmanay gig, we used QP's sound equipment- which meant Ewan had to play in the cage just off stage! It was pretty funny trying to communicate with our drummer so far away but we just used Facebook and texting!!
