Tonight at Destiny Church, Jiggered Ceilidh Band provided just a fraction of the evening's entertainment! The fundraiser was an unashamed celebration of Philippine Culture- their music, dance, fashion, food. Once all that was finished, Jiggered had about half an hour to cram in as many dances as we could! An action-packed night...Jenny was back and in fine form, Susan confirmed I don't smell and Ewan's belt burst. Just about sums it up.

Sabine and Jonny married back in 2012 and Jiggered Ceilidh Band provided the music at their weekend of wacky wedding celebrations! We were delighted to be called on again for Sabine's 30th birthday party. Again, they had organised a weekend of crazy competitions, with Saturday night culminating in a fancy dress ceilidh. And the costumes were incredible...so many were home-made beauties, with the birthday girl's Dalek outfit being particularly impressive.
Plenty food and drink, a location on the banks of Loch Lomond that allowed everyone to have a swim in the freezing water and a crowd that were loads of fun and up for every ceilidh dance!
It sounds like Susan and Emma had a wee adventure on the way home with a puncture...the tyre change sounded interesting- Emma fell back through a hedge into a cemetry. You can't make this stuff up. I'm glad to say they did make it home eventually...

Jiggered Ceilidh Band's latest outing was tonight's wedding at the outstanding One Devonshire Gardens. Ewan's cousin Alistair was getting married so we were drafted in to kick off the evening entertainment.
The bride and groom had asked us to do an acoustic version of "Ho Hey" with plenty harmonies for their first dance. We added a third mic and Susan added another layer of vocals- she was pumped for it and the final product was a big hit with the happy couple (Ewan might even have some audio footage to share sometime!).
After an action-packed set, Jiggered loaded up and let the second band of the night arrived. Second ceilidh of the evening looks like being a fun one too...

It's March: spring's here. Every year about this time, Jiggered Ceilidh Band head to the Troon's Concert Hall to perform at Ann's charity ceilidh. Ann raises loads of money for The Smiles Foundation, a charity that helps young people and families in Romania. As well as ceilidh, Ann had laid on a tombola, silent auction, chocolate fountain, bar, pizza....It was amazing to watch the stack of pizza boxes being piped in with bagpipes. Brilliant!
Highlight of the night though might have been a wee practice of a trio of vocals for an upcoming ceilidh. Watch this space, folks.
