A busy wee stint for Jiggered, with our third Burns' Supper Ceilidh! This one was for TGSA and was held in the spectacular Trades Hall in Glasgow.
After the guests' meal, a few polished speeches and a raffle, we delivered a two hour ceilidh to finish the evening!
The Trades Hall doorman looked after us well during the evening and loved Jiggered's sound. He's hoping we'll be back there soon.
Burns' Season over...back to normality!

Jiggered have played at Townhead Church, Newmilns, loads of times in the past. This might just edge it as the best one yet. The place was packed with folk: friends, colleagues, family, neighbours, haggis-addressers, former pupils of Mr Smith, randoms, potential stand-ins, budding poets...we had a great time.
The first half flew in. After this, Paul gave his entertaining address to the "chieftain o' the puddin' race" before everyone tucked in to their haggis, neeps and tatties. After all that was washed down with Scotland's finest (Irn Bru) we were treated to various cute perfomances from youngsters who'd learned some Scottish poetry!
A short second half ended, as ever, with an Orcadian Strip the Willow, Auld Lang Syne and plenty of cheers and smiling faces. Loved it.
Two Burns' Ceilidhs done. One more to go!

Our friends at Destiny always enjoy a wee Jiggered ceilidh. The team there look after us well. Stuart, Gemma and others are really helpful hosts...having our own sound engineer and generously stocked green room mean we appreciate our regular Destiny visits too.
Enquiries have been flooding in for 2016/2017 (our most recent one for a wedding next year in Poland...!). If you're planning on booking Jiggered Ceilidh Band, please do it soon to avoid disappointment.
Two more Burns' Ceilidhs to come this month...

A first wedding of 2016 for Jiggered Ceilidh Band...lots more to come!
There once was a bride, Emma Crockett
Loved Jiggered and our Emma Brockett,
For her wedding to Tom:
Where's all that snow from?
Free confetti (she's not out of pocket)!
Emma and Tom performed a mash-up of songs they'd made their own lyrics for, which went down a storm at Crutherland with their friends and famileee...
Looking forward to the next gig!

Another memorable year for Jiggered Ceilidh Band ended on a high with a cracking Hogmanay Ceilidh at the stately Easterbrook Hall.
The crowd were treated to top notch food by all accounts, were entertained by Jiggered Ceilidh Band and enjoyed a midnight countdown followed by a couple of confetti cannon explosions!
We made a few new Jiggered fans, bumped into some old friends, impressed an experienced accordian-playing ceilidher and chatted to a girl who first heard us when we played at Old Trafford earlier in the year! And a couple GOT ENGAGED on the stroke of midnight while we played Auld Lang Syne!!!
2015 was fun. 2016 looks to be even better with new material to share and lots of gigs lined up already- we'd love to play for you.
