Jiggered Ceilidh Band- Another Wedding in Glasgow

Jiggered Ceilidh Band- Another Wedding in Glasgow

Jiggered Ceilidh Band have just finished a run of 5 ceilidhs in 8 days. It's been loads of fun.

Last night we were back at Pollokshields Burgh Hall where we've played a few times- the acoustics are lovely in the Hall and I took a wee video on my phone of Jenny and Susan playing Ae Fond Kiss. It isn't the best quality of recording but hear it live and you'll find it breath-taking, I promise you.

The wedding last night started with the bride and groom doing their first dance to a St Bernard's Watlz and they glided across the dance floor very elegantly...they must've practiced! The wedding guests were a lively bunch- full of energy, jumping across the floor, throwing each other about and spinning around wildly! Brilliant fun!

Jiggered Ceilidh Band: Another Wedding in Glasgow

Jiggered Ceilidh Band: Another Wedding in Glasgow

It was great to be back at St Andrews in the Square, Glasgow. Jiggered Ceilidh Band have played there many times over the years.

This was a special one since:

-Rebecca and Andi were getting married (Andi's drummed for us before)

-lots of of the "Greenview crew" were present, including our good friends Peter and Amy and one of our biggest fans, Ruth Hutchison (I don't mean "largest" by the way, before I get into bother). Ruth took lots of photos on her super-duper fancy camera which you can see on our Flickr feed above. Thanks for that, Hutch!

Jiggered are really busy for the rest of 2009- watch this space for more blogging action soon.
