A First Visit to Branxholme Castle
It was another Jiggered road trip in June, taking us to the beautiful Scottish Borders for our very first wedding at Branxholme Castle, near Hawick.
The celebrations took place in the venue's stunning barn courtyard, a beautifully restored space that's perfect for weddings and special occasions. It was a fantastic setting, and we loved having the opportunity to perform there for the first time.
The evening began with a truly special first dance. Jemima and Oli chose 'Seek You First', a song co-written by Jemima's sister, Beth. We were honoured that Beth joined us to perform it live - a memorable moment for both us and the newlyweds, and one we'll remember for a long time.
As the evening continued, the dance floor filled with plenty of first-time ceilidh dancers, which is always something we enjoy seeing. Even after everyone tucked into a mountain of delicious pizzas during the break, they were straight back on the dance floor, throwing themselves into every dance with great enthusiasm.
It was a real pleasure to discover such a unique venue, made even more enjoyable by such a warm and welcoming group of family and friends.
Thank you once again for inviting us to be part of your special day, Jemima and Oli. We wish you both every happiness for the future. God bless.
