A Multi-Cultural Conference Ceilidh

It was nice to be back at the Grand Central Glasgow hotel where we’ve played several times over the years. This time we’d been booked up by Natalie to provide the entertainment for the EUPAT11 Conference final evening. Being a fellow Strathclyde University alumni, she was bound to have good taste and she clearly knows a good ceilidh band when she sees one!

It was a short set but the conference attendees had come from all over the world so it was a first for most of them - which we absolutely love! Gemma made a new best friend / assistant called Theo who helped whip them into shape - cheers, Theo!

We had a great wee night and we even received some kind words from Natalie afterwards. Here’s a snapshot which made us smile:

Thank you so much for playing for us! I think I have just about recovered form all the dancing and laughing. Honestly, 95% of the room had no idea what a ceilidh was before you arrived and afterwards they all couldn’t stop talking about how much fun they had and that they would never forget it!

We’re glad everyone had a great night! Thanks again for having us, Natalie.
