Taxi for Jiggered

Jiggered’s latest gig took us right into the heart of the capital. Edinburgh’s Kimpton Charlotte Square Hotel is lush and was the prefect location for Innes and Anna’s wedding. We’d played at Anna’s brother’s wedding and it was nice to catch up with a few familiar faces and many folk we’ve ceilidhed for in the past.

The first dance was real special (two of their friends playing piano and viola- beautiful). And as soon as Gemma announced the next dance, the wedding guests swarmed onto the floor, itching to dance. We love performing for enthusiastic crowds like this one!

The end of the night ended weirdly with two girls out partying in Edinburgh stoating across the road and jumping in front of my car as I parked it. By the time I had opened my boot to start filling it with the sound equipment, this drunk pair had go into my car!! I explained that we’re a ceilidh band, not a taxi service…although maybe that’s a niche USP for us to explore in the future!
