Back to St Andrews in the Square

Jiggered Ceilidh Band were back at St Andrew’s in the Square, in Glasgow. This is one of the venues we’ve played at most over the years. It’s a cracking building which makes an amazing setting for a big event.

This time it was a ruby wedding anniversary Jiggered were playing at, and the room had been filled with red balloons to celebrate the occassion! By the way, the buffet at this event was class. The samosas were nice and crisp and the cake was really tasty. Good job!!

One thing worth mentioning about this venue is that it has a sound-limiting system installed to keep the noise level from being too excessive since St Andrews in the Square is surrounded by residents. Jiggered‘s experience of this system and others like it means that we can control our sound to avoid any cut-out.

Jiggered will be returning to this venue next month (looking forward to it already)!
