An International Ceilidh

There was a undeniably international flavour to our latest ceilidh. The University of Glasgow’s Maths and Stats Department have been booking us for their APTS Conference ceilidh for many years and it’s always a pleasure. Adrian is the host for the evening and has brainwashed…sorry….convinced everyone that participation is absolutely mandatory. So every time Emma anounced a dance, the floor was busy and when Adrian took the mic at half time and said “so, folks, Jiggered are taking a short break so it’s time for you to perform” that’s exactly what happened. We were treated to an honourary Scottish lassie singing “Wild Mountain Thyme”, impressed by an Irish poem, entertained by a makeshift duo who did a cover of “Shake it Off”, teased by a masterclass in Mauritius dancing…and of course Adrian didn’t disappoint as he did a wee number too!

A great evening- the start of a busy spell for Jiggered! Remember to come see us live in George Square on Saturday (26th August) at 6pm. Our slot is part of Creation Fest Scotland- an unmissable event!
