Gleddoch Wedding

Gleddoch House Hotel and Spa is a regular venue for Jiggered Ceilidh Band– we’ve played there every Hogmanay since 2010! In fact, Richard and Ailie came to hear us at one Gleddoch Hogmanay and knew that we were the perfect band to provide the music for their wedding. With a large proportion of non-Scots at the wedding (the seating plan highlighted this- all guests had a flag next to their name showing their nationality) it was important to the couple that we were able to guide everyone through the ceilidh dances and to serve up our blend of tunes and covers too. The evening kicked off with the couple’s first dance request: our cover of Savage Garden’s “Truly Madly Deeply”.

Richard was keeping Ailie’s Scottish relatives sweet by wearing a kilt in the evening. Good man. There were lots of nice touches throughout the night including some lovely Swedish biscuits, a Pick n Mix buffet and a “fingerprint tree” for guests to leave their mark!

Ewan’s a midgie magnet.

Funniest moment of the evening was when a new Jiggered fan asked to take a picture of the Jiggered boys but had found it difficult because “something was blocking the shot”. Emma and Susan were ruining the view of the band pinups: Ewan and Chris!!
